Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These terms govern your use of the TestBounty platform. We've written them to be direct and plain. Please read them.

01

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on TestBounty, downloading the TestBounty application, or accessing the platform in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and TestBounty. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
02

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on TestBounty. By registering, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to enter into binding contracts. You may only hold one account per person. Creating duplicate accounts is prohibited and may result in all associated accounts being permanently suspended. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at testbountyapp@gmail.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent behaviour, or otherwise harm the platform or its users.
03

Developer responsibilities and campaign rules

Campaign creation

Developers may publish campaigns for mobile applications that they own or have the legal right to distribute for testing. You must not create campaigns for applications that you do not have rights to, or applications that violate the terms of the distribution platform used (e.g. TestFlight, Google Play).

Funding

To activate a campaign, developers must deposit the full reward pool plus a 10% platform fee in cryptocurrency. The platform fee covers the cost of operating the escrow, managing the campaign, and processing withdrawals. The platform fee is charged at deposit and is non-refundable under any circumstances, including early campaign closure. Example: A campaign with a $200 reward pool requires a deposit of $220 ($200 + $20 platform fee).

Campaign wallet and escrow

Deposited funds are held in a dedicated campaign escrow wallet and are not accessible to TestBounty for general use. Funds in the campaign wallet may only be disbursed to testers upon report approval, or returned to the developer as an unused balance withdrawal. TestBounty does not commingle campaign funds with operational funds.

Report review and approval

Developers are responsible for reviewing submitted reports in a timely manner. Approving a report releases the agreed reward amount from the campaign wallet to the tester. Rejecting a report carries no cost. Developers must not reject valid bug reports in bad faith to avoid paying testers. Testers may dispute rejections, and repeated bad-faith rejections may result in developer account suspension. TestBounty's determination in disputes is final.

Campaign closure and balance return

Developers may close a campaign at any time. Upon closure, any remaining balance in the campaign wallet (excluding the platform fee) may be withdrawn, subject to the withdrawal rules described in Section 6 below.

04

Tester responsibilities and report rules

Participation

By joining a campaign, you agree to test the application in good faith, looking for genuine bugs, crashes, usability issues, and other defects. You must not submit reports describing behaviour that you cannot reproduce, reports that are deliberately fabricated, or duplicate reports of bugs already reported by you in the same campaign.

Report quality

Bug reports must include a clear description of the observed behaviour, the steps required to reproduce the issue, the expected behaviour, and your device model and operating system version. Reports should include screenshots or screen recordings where applicable. Reports that are vague, irreproducible, duplicates, or not genuine bugs may be rejected by the developer at no charge. Habitually poor-quality submissions may affect your tester rating and restrict your access to campaigns.

Earnings and payouts

Rewards are earned only upon developer approval of a submitted report. Earnings accumulate in your TestBounty in-app wallet. TestBounty does not guarantee any minimum number of approvals or earnings from any campaign.

Conduct during testing

You must handle test applications with care and confidentiality. Campaign and application details — including the app itself, its features, and any information encountered during testing — are confidential. You must not share, publish, or distribute test application content, screenshots, or findings outside of the TestBounty platform without the developer's written permission.

05

Payments and crypto

All payments on TestBounty are made in cryptocurrency, currently TRX and USDT on TRC20 Network. By using the platform, you acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in cryptocurrency, including price volatility, transaction failures, and network congestion. TestBounty is not responsible for losses arising from cryptocurrency market movements. Reward amounts are denominated in USD equivalent at the time the campaign is funded. Deposits are final once confirmed on-chain. If a deposit fails to confirm or is sent to an incorrect address due to user error, TestBounty cannot recover those funds.
06

Withdrawals

Withdrawal requests are subject to the following rules, which apply equally to developers (unused campaign balance) and testers (earnings): Frequency: One withdrawal request may be submitted per rolling 7-day period. The period is calculated from the date the previous withdrawal was approved, not submitted. Minimum amount: The minimum withdrawal is $5 USD equivalent at the time of request. This threshold may be adjusted in the future; any changes will be communicated in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Admin approval: All withdrawal requests are reviewed by a TestBounty administrator before processing. This review typically completes within two business days. We reserve the right to delay or decline a withdrawal request if there is reasonable suspicion of fraud, an active dispute involving the account, or a technical issue requiring investigation. Wallet verification: Your external wallet address must be verified before your first withdrawal. TestBounty is not liable for funds sent to wallet addresses incorrectly entered by the user. Final: Once a withdrawal is processed and confirmed on-chain, it cannot be reversed.
07

Disputes

If a tester believes a report was rejected in bad faith, they may file a dispute through the TestBounty app within 7 days of the rejection. TestBounty will review the report and the developer's stated reason for rejection and make a determination within 48 hours. TestBounty's determination in disputes is final. We reserve the right to reverse an approval or rejection if we determine it was made fraudulently or in error. If a developer believes a tester is engaging in fraudulent reporting — including submitting fabricated bugs or colluding to inflate approvals — they may report this to TestBounty. We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include account suspension and clawback of recent payouts if fraud is confirmed.
08

Prohibited conduct

The following are prohibited on TestBounty and may result in immediate account suspension and legal action: — Submitting fabricated, duplicate, or plagiarised bug reports — Creating fake tester accounts to inflate campaign payouts — Sharing, distributing, or publishing test application content outside the platform — Attempting to access other users' accounts or campaign wallets — Using the platform to distribute malware or malicious code via campaign links — Publishing campaigns for applications you do not own or have rights to distribute — Colluding with other users to manipulate campaign outcomes — Attempting to circumvent withdrawal limits through multiple accounts or other means — Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
09

Intellectual property

TestBounty's platform, branding, design, and code are the intellectual property of TestBounty and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our written permission. Applications uploaded by developers for testing remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. TestBounty claims no ownership over test applications or their content. Bug reports submitted by testers are used by developers under a non-exclusive licence to address the reported issues. TestBounty may retain anonymised versions of report data for platform improvement purposes.
10

Limitation of liability

TestBounty provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TestBounty is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost earnings, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to TestBounty in the 90 days preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting testbountyapp@gmail.com. Upon account closure, any pending withdrawal requests will be processed according to standard withdrawal rules. Pending reports that have not been approved or rejected will be resolved before account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in conduct that harms other users or the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. In the event of termination for cause, we reserve the right to withhold any pending payouts.
12

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform that cannot be resolved through direct negotiation or our dispute resolution process will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
